Makhena Rankin Guerin

Makhena is a two spirit anishinaabe hoop dancer from Abitibiwinni First Nation.
The hoop dance is a medicinal and story telling dance. By telling a story with the hoops, the dancer causes an emotion within the spectator. It's that emotion that is then used by the body as medicine for the mind body and soul.
