Beverley McKiver

Beverley McKiver is an Ottawa-based pianist, teacher and composer.

Her “Boozhoo Manoomin” suite for instrumental ensemble expresses the importance of manoomin to the Anishinaabeg. It was presented at Native Earth Performing Arts in 2018.

In 2019, Jumblies Theatre and Soundstreams commissioned Beverley to write the “Odaabaanag” song cycle for the community choir based on stories about residential school by three elders.

Her “Canadian Floral Emblems Suite” was funded by the Canada Council and performed by Beverley in an online concert series. Six of these pieces were later arranged and performed by Dominion Carillonneur Dr. Andrea McCrady for the Peace Tower Carillon.

Beverley will perform an eclectic program of piano works by women composers.
