IN ITS SECOND YEAR, THE WOMEN'S ART FESTIVAL IS CALLING IMMIGRANT, REFUGEE, INDIGENOUS AND RACIALIZED WOMEN ARTISTS LIVING IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION TO APPLY. 

We are looking for professional visual artists, musicians, DJs, performance artists, poets, academics, filmmakers, chefs, crafters, and art practitioners of non-western disciplines to participate in the festival. 

Criteria of eligibility:

  • Self identify as an immigrant/refugee, indigenous, or racialized woman artist. 

  • Selected artists must be a city of Ottawa resident, Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation or Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation OR be Algonquin Anishinabe and live within 150 km radius of Ottawa.

  • Artists who participated in the previous festival won't be eligible.

  • The selection will balance discipline, geography, race, ethnicity, ability, and age diversity.
