What does community and cultural expression mean to you, particularly within this multicultural event?
It means to be heard without having to talk by expressing each other's art. We're expressing our intentions to each other, and that's very beautiful to see you in the city.
Can you recall the first time you felt “in the zone” while dancing? What was that like?
The first time being in the zone was training in the cipher with the top dancers and feeling free.
If your dance style were a personality, how would you describe it?
If I were to describe my dance, I would describe it as raw, athletic and truthful to the moment.
How do you incorporate musicality when the beat takes an unexpected turn?
Incorporating musicality takes skills and understanding of music. It's hard to explain, but it's truly a feeling you get.
What was your first interaction with freestyle dance?
My first interaction was being in the flava factory dance studio, the only street dance studio in the city. It gave me different style that allowed me to express myself and to Freestyle.
Who are your dance heroes, and how have they influenced your style?
My first interaction was being in the flava factory dance studio, the only street dance studio in the city. It gave me different style that allowed me to express myself and to Freestyle.
Who are your dance heroes, and how have they influenced your style?
Michael Jackson was a childhood influencer in dance but growing up now I'm influenced by my environment so dancers in Canada like Kosi, Junior boogie, Darkq, Vanessa, Klassic, Armel and Daniel Keith Are my favorites to watch and feel inspired.
