ART+ Fall Exhibition - Threads of Belonging

 

Celebrate creativity, identity, and storytelling at the 2025 ART+ Fall Exhibition, a free two-day event showcasing powerful visual works by professional artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Featuring artists:
Carmina Miana – Interdisciplinary
Stephanie Hill – Mixed Media
Yu-Sheng Chiu – Photography
Céline Khairallah – Visual Design
Monna Jennings– Painting

These artists explore themes of identity, diaspora, spirituality, and transformation through a range of visual practices. Come experience artwork that invites reflection and connection across cultures and generations.

Event Details:

🗓 October 3rd 
📍 Location: Atelier, Arts Court Building (67 Nicholas St, Ottawa, ON K1N 7B9) 
🖼 Vernissage: 6–8 PM (Free) 
Kick off the exhibition with an evening of art, conversation, and community. Meet the artists, explore their work, and enjoy light refreshments. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.

🎨 Artist Tour: 2–3:30 PM (Free) 
📍 Location: Atelier, Arts Court Building 
Join a guided tour with the artists as they share the stories and inspirations behind their pieces. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.

I grew up in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada and spent many years as a florist. This background deeply informs my current visual art practice.

YU-SHENG CHIU

Yu-Sheng Chiu is a Taiwanese photo-based artist living in Ottawa, Canada who uses self-portraiture and landscape to explore how solitude, memories, and the ever-changing definition of femininity have constructed her understanding to the world through arts and politics.
