ART+ WORKSHOP SERIES

Join a free career development course by the Multicultural Artists’ Coalition (MAC-CAM) in partnership with the Ottawa Arts Network (ANO) to elevate your art business skills and build a resilient art career in Ottawa, Canada, and beyond! The course is open to artists and creatives of all disciplines.

 

The program consists of 5 free workshops. It focuses on topics of self-presentation, legal advice, budget development, online marketing, and touring. You can participate in individual workshops and don’t have to commit to the whole program to take the course.

PRESENT YOURSELF - a hands-on workshop on crafting your professional artist CV, bio, and artist statement.

Whether you are a visual, conceptual, or performing artist, learning how to properly introduce yourself when opportunities arise is a vital professional skill that will help you thrive in your career as a professional artist.

From grant applications to elevator pitches, understanding what funders, producers, curators, and other cultural agents want to hear or read from you will help you increase your success rate.

Join us in this interactive workshop to explore common practices, tools, and concepts that will expand your understanding of self-presentation as a professional artist.
